(São Paulo) - The National Association of Gaming and Lotteries (ANJL in original portuguese) participated in a meeting in São Paulo to discuss the regulation of the gambling market in Brazil and its impact on economic and social development.

The president of the National Association of Games and Lotteries (ANJL), Plínio Lemos Jorge, was at the National Confederation of Services (CNS) in São Paulo on Monday 24th, invited by the institution's president, Luigi Nese. On the agenda was the regulated gambling market and how this economic activity can be included in the B sector, formed by companies with a business model oriented towards social and environmental benefits.
‘It was a very important meeting because the Confederation represents organisations that employ more than two million people. They are launching the National Sports Committee, which will bring together personalities and initiatives that will help develop the country's sports scene. And as we are a representative association, we have a lot to contribute to this discussion,’ explained Plínio.
According to the ANJL president, the event also provided information on the fight against illegal websites in the country and how legislation in this area has progressed. ‘Whenever we have the opportunity, in these meetings, we explain how the Association has been working and how the government has been taking steps to block this illegal gambling sector,’ said Plínio.
